Join the Friends of MCDL Board
The Friends of MCDL Board is responsible for:
- Fundraising to support MCDL's programs & services
- Overseeing the Friends' finances, budget & financial/resource needs
- Communicating & promoting the Friends' mission & programs to the community
- Attending & participating in quarterly meetings; board members are encouraged to make recommendations based on their experience & vantage point in the community
- Volunteering or participating in events & fundraisers as needed
Board positions are on a staggered schedule expiring every three years.
Board Members Needed
The Friends have two open board positions. The #1 criteria is passion for the library and its value in the community. Areas of expertise that are helpful, but not required, include: accounting & finance, program support, community outreach, education/instruction, fundraising, and special events planning.
